Technical Requirements
Minimum Hardware Requirements:
- An Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- A broadband internet connection (Cable/DSL/Satellite)
- A personal Windows PC or Intel-based Mac computer
Microsoft Windows:
- Windows 10
- 8 GB RAM
- Speakers or headphones
- A webcam and headphones are recommended
Mac OS:
- Version 10.13 (High Sierra or higher)
- 8 GB of RAM
- A webcam and speakers are incorporated into all Macs
Chromebook:
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB storage
NOTE: To fully participate in 100% online courses, a PC, Mac, or Chromebook is recommended. A mobile device is insufficient for the demands of UCCS online courses.
Software:
- Microsoft Office365 (free of charge to all active UCCS students, faculty, and staff)
- Adobe Reader DC (free download)
Browser:
Chrome and Firefox are the recommended browsers for accessing the Canvas Learning Management System.
- Firefox 88 or higher
- Google Chrome 90 or higher
Recommended Equipment:
- Webcam
- Headset microphone (if no webcam)

You are required to use your UCCS student e-mail account for your online course. UCCS e-mail is accessible 24/7 from any computer with a web browser.
Access and use the UCCS Office 365 system for UCCS student e-mail.
